… and what a year it’s been already, amirite! I share enough of my opinions about current political affairs on my instagram stories, so I’ll save the rest of my attitude for there.
More personally, the last few weeks of 2025 were not gentle to me— anemia flare, cancelling travels because of a Covid exposure— but they were very kind. I got extra time at home with my animals and the holidays left me feeling truly spoiled with books and lovely gifts from old friends and ones I have yet to meet. Thank you again for everyone who helped make last year so special!
This year— again, capitalism’s rapid descent into looney toons-type hijinks aside— investing time in my interests and continuing to find alignment with others who share these hobbies is my priority.
In the spirit of that, here’s a short (but by no means exhaustive!) list of the types of people I love to spend time with:
Musicians: We will never be short of things to nerd out over, especially if you want to talk about your DIY sound pursuits, nuanced gear preferences, or recent instrument purchases. I play folk harp (and do electronic fx production of it on my Bandcamp), keyboard, recently added autoharp, and yearn to connect with similar minds.
Philosophers & Observers: Broad strokes, correct? But funny how these always overlap. I cherish my time with people who fill their free hours with books, docuseries, informational deep dives, exploring their own soul & spirituality, sitting intentionally idly and appreciating stillness— anything in the pursuit of learning and understanding the world and our place in it. Let‘s learn and grow together.
Punks, metalheads, hxc, & other various alts: I believe this to be self-explanatory. Please arrive to our booking prepared with your favorite DIY show mishaps and your best "what was The Incident at your punk house?" story.
If you don’t see yourself in any of the above, please take that as even more incentive to reach out! Yearning and desire arise from all types of shared understandings, and I can’t wait to discover what connects us.
